Captain's Log 190426 – Assinie Beach Day Trip

Captain's Log 190426

We had our very first official charter with a great group of Russian guests from 'Sindbad Overseas'. The plan was a full day on the lagoon with fishing and beach time in Assinie.

How the day went:

The morning started with a slightly later departure than planned, but once on the water the mood was relaxed and happy. Although we had some last-minute changes with the crew (our original captain fell ill), the team adapted well. Unfortunately we didn't manage to do any fishing as planned, but the group took it in their stride.

They enjoyed swimming in Assinie, relaxing on the boat, and had a good lunch at the beach restaurant. The snacks and drinks we prepared were well received, and everyone particularly loved the spectacular sunset on the return journey across the lagoon.

What we learned Even the best plans can change at the last minute. Moving forward we will improve briefing for backup captains and have clearer backup plans for activities like fishing on longer trips.
