One of the things I'm most proud of with Captain Murray's – The Uncharted Waters is how we make every charter feel unique.

Here's how we do it, and why it makes us different from the usual tourist boats on the lagoon.

It Starts with You

Before you even step on board, we ask plenty of questions. Some people wonder why — but it's the only way to plan everything properly and make the day truly yours.

We ask about:

• The date you want
• How many people are in your group
• Where you'd like to go or what you'd like to do
• Snacks and beverages
• Any special arrangements (decorations, specific drinks, fishing gear, etc.)

The moment you arrive, everything is already prepared. That's why we make it different.

Our Different Experiences

We offer a range of options, each with its own character:

• Classic Sunset Cruises on the Lagoon — Relaxed evening with golden light, peaceful mangroves or beautiful city skyline views.
• Jacqueville Day Trip — Coastal adventure with beaches and a laid-back atmosphere.
• Assinie — Beautiful ocean-side escape with waves and open views.
• Yamoussoukro — Cultural and historical day trip to Côte d'Ivoire's political capital (can also be extended to an overnight stay as there is so much to see).
• Cascades de Man — Stunning nature trip with waterfalls and lush green scenery — usually an overnight experience to fully enjoy the area.

Each route is completely different, and we tailor the pace, stops, and activities to your group.

On the Day – Making It Yours

• Music Connect your phone to the boat's Bluetooth speaker and play your favourite playlist — African beats, chill lounge, or whatever you like. No loud generic music.
• Drinks & Refreshments We stock cold water, soft drinks, beer, wine (on request), fresh juices, and light snacks based on your preferences. Just let us know about any favourite drinks or dietary needs in advance.
• Route & Pace The captain discusses options with you once on board. Want quiet mangrove channels? Open lagoon with city views? A stop for swimming? We adjust everything to suit the group and the conditions that day.
• Activities Some groups love to fish for a while. Others prefer photography, birdwatching, or just drifting and chatting. The crew is happy to help with whatever you feel like doing.

Why This Makes Us Different

Most tourist boats run the same fixed route every day with the same music and snacks for large groups. We deliberately keep our charters small and flexible so every guest feels like the boat is theirs for the afternoon or evening.

The result is a much more personal, relaxed, and memorable experience. People often tell us it felt like a private trip with friends rather than a standard tour.
