Captain’s Log 100826 – Overnight Adventures: Slowing Down on the Lagoon and Beyond

Most of our charters on the Ébrié Lagoon are designed as single-day experiences — sunset cruises, fishing trips, or full-day runs to Jacqueville and Assinie. But they don't always have to end the same evening.

Some guests prefer a slower rhythm. In those cases we can arrange overnight stays instead of rushing back to Abidjan. It changes the whole feeling of the trip.

Jacqueville Overnight Jacqueville is quieter and more open. Staying overnight means you can enjoy the late afternoon light, have a relaxed evening, and wake up to calm water the next morning. It turns a day trip into a proper break — more time for fishing, swimming, or simply doing nothing.

Assinie Overnight Assinie has better access to the beaches. An overnight stay gives you the chance to enjoy the lagoon side during the day and the beach atmosphere in the evening or early morning, without the pressure of returning the same day.

For those who want to go further inland, we also organise longer trips:

Yamoussoukro Best done as an overnight. There is simply too much to see in one day — the Basilica, the wide avenues, the Presidential Palace and its sacred crocodiles. Two days removes the rush and lets the place sink in.

Cascades de Man A true multi-day journey (usually two or three nights). The waterfalls, cooler climate, and green mountains make the longer travel worthwhile. This is for guests who want a complete change of scenery from the lagoon and the coast.

Whether it's an extra night on the lagoon at Jacqueville or Assinie, or a longer trip inland, the approach stays the same: the itinerary belongs to the guests. We shape it around what they actually want, in the same private-charter spirit you find in the Mediterranean or the Caribbean.
